FreeSOV ("we", "us", "our") operates FreeSOV, a "bring your own API key" service that tracks how AI assistants and search engines cite, mention, and rank brands. This policy explains what we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have.
We use it to provide the service: to run your tracking jobs, call the third-party APIs with your keys, and generate your dashboards and reports. We use technical data to operate, secure, debug, and improve the service.
When you run tracking, your prompts are sent to the third-party providers you have configured, using your own API keys. Those providers process that data under their own terms and privacy policies, which are outside our control. Please review the policies of any provider whose keys you use.
Report and dashboard screens may display third-party advertisements. Advertising and analytics partners that serve these ads may use cookies, web beacons, or similar technologies to collect information about your device and browsing in order to serve and measure ads, in accordance with their own privacy policies. We do not control, and are not responsible for, the data practices of these third-party advertisers.
We may compile aggregated and de-identified data derived from the responses returned by the AI and search APIs across our users, and we may use, retain, and publish that aggregate data for macro-level and trend-level reporting, benchmarks, research, and product improvement. This aggregate data is stripped of information that identifies you, your account, or your individual brands, and is not used to identify any individual user.
We retain account and tracking data for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the service, and we may retain de-identified aggregate data indefinitely. You may request deletion of your account as described below.
We take reasonable measures to protect your information. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, however, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
You may access or update your account information, remove stored API keys, or request deletion of your account by contacting us at privacy@example.com. Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights over your personal data.
The service is not directed to children under 16, and we do not knowingly collect their data.
We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by updating the effective date above.
By creating an account or using FreeSOV (the "Service"), you agree to these Terms and Conditions. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
The Service is a "bring your own API key" tool: it runs the AI and search queries you configure using the third-party API keys you supply, and presents the results as reports and metrics.
You agree not to misuse the Service, including by attempting to disrupt it, access it without authorization, or use it for any unlawful purpose.
The Service relies on third-party APIs and may display third-party advertisements within report screens. We do not control and are not responsible for third-party services, providers, or advertisers, their content, availability, or data practices.
You grant us a perpetual, worldwide, royalty-free right to use the data returned by the AI and search APIs in connection with your use of the Service to create aggregated and de-identified datasets, and to use, reproduce, and publish such aggregate data for macro-level and trend-level reporting, benchmarks, research, and improving the Service. This right applies only to aggregated, de-identified data and does not grant us the right to publicly attribute that data to you or your individual brands.
The Service's software is made available under its applicable open-source license (Polyform Noncommercial 1.0.0). You retain ownership of your account data and configurations, subject to the license granted in Section 6.
The Service is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied. We do not warrant that the Service or any data or metrics it produces will be accurate, uninterrupted, or error-free.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, FreeSOV will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any third-party API charges, arising out of or related to your use of the Service.
You may stop using the Service and request account deletion at any time. We may suspend or terminate access that violates these Terms.
These Terms are governed by the laws of [your jurisdiction], without regard to conflict-of-law principles.
We may update these Terms from time to time; continued use after changes take effect constitutes acceptance.
